Retail operations & inventory manager

Join Pig & Hen as a Retail Operations & Inventory Manager and become part of one of Amsterdam’s fastest-growing international jewelry brands.

In this full-time role, based at our headquarters in Amsterdam, you will play a key role in supporting our retail operations and inventory management. Regular visits to our stores are an essential part of the position, and the role is available immediately.

About the role

As Retail Operations & Inventory Manager, you are responsible for ensuring that our retail operations run smoothly, with a strong focus on inventory, processes, and store support.

Based at our headquarters in Amsterdam, you will spend approximately 80% of your time at HQ and 20% visiting our stores to stay closely connected to daily operations. In this hands-on role, you ensure that each store has the right products available and operates optimally.

Using data-driven insights from sales and inventory, you make informed decisions, improve processes, and help resolve recurring issues. You will also contribute to the continued expansion of our retail activities, both in the Netherlands and internationally.

Who are you

You are an organized, analytical, and hands-on professional with a strong sense of ownership and a passion for retail operations. With a keen eye for detail and a structured approach, you know how to optimize processes and maintain oversight, even in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset enable you to work effectively with colleagues across stores, headquarters, and external partners. Experience with inventory management, retail operations, and data analysis is essential for this role.

You are comfortable working with spreadsheets, AI and operational systems and enjoy turning data into actionable insights. An excellent command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written, is required.

The Story Behind the Brand

Pig & Hen is named after two animals tattooed by Dutch sailors in the 17th century as symbols of luck and protection at sea. All Pig & Hen jewelry is handmade from Amsterdam in our local atelier using durable, premium materials such as recycled nautical rope, stainless steel, and meaningful gemstones.
